Error while installing the package

Hi,

I am trying to install this package in my AWS Lambda function (Nodejs). I am getting an error - 'unzip' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

I am using Windows Operating System. What is that I am doing wrong?

Also, does this work with Oracle DB on Thick Mode? Do you have any sample Lambda code which has been implemented using this package?

An update - I was able to install it from the Linux WSL. But the other two questions remain? Can you please check?

Hi @lolekjohn,

On post-install, the scripts expects unzip method as there are bundled binaries. I guess should handle that to support windows, but glad you found a workaround.

I haven't specifically tested running on thick mode, but this document: https://node-oracledb.readthedocs.io/en/latest/user_guide/appendix_a.html#oracle-client-library-loading specifies how to do so:

If oracledb.initOracleClient() is called in your application before any standalone connections or pool is created, then the node-oracledb mode changes to Thick mode. Calling the initOracleClient() method immediately loads Oracle Client libraries
