Biftool for Mac is 6 years old. Your instructions for installing are no longer valid. I've installed ffmpeg via BREW but biftool is looking for /usr/local/Cellar/ffmpeg/8.0_1/lib/libavformat.58.dylib. All the files in that directory have .62. in them.
Are there updated instructions or possibly a new version available?
I've been using this tool instead, which works fine, but wanted to try the "official" tool:
