Works on dotnet?

Hi, recently I'm switching my ide from visual studio to vs code so I'm new to vs code.
I recognized envFile in launch.json doesn't work for tupe=dotnet.

I'm thinking of Command variable for alternative, but wondering if it works on dotnet.

@SJleePH Command Variable does not manipulate any environment, It allows to construct strings used in tasks and launch.

tupe=dotnet: I don't know what you mean (I don't use dotnet)

What are you trying to accomplish what works in VS?

Let me share my launch.json file.
preLaunchTask runs powershell script, which writes process ID on platform.pid file, works fine.
After that, I let processId from that file but it doens't work.
If I hard-code processId on launch.json file, It works correctly.
And I'm using Cursor AI ide 1.1.2 + Command Variable 1.67.0.
What did I do wrong?

@SJleePH You are also victim of the Strings evaluated before prelaunchTask "bug"

Have a look at

for a workaround.

I will consider to add this to the README for filecontent command
