You inspired me to write a MacOS toolbar app to use the device with modern MacOS apps, focusing on dictation and voice/video communication apps.
I don't trust the quality of the apps that smaller Chinese shops build so I felt more comfortable writing my own, and the footswitch CLI provided the know-how.

It's free and open source, written in Swift, and has a build script if you want to build from source.
I also built, packaged and signed it in case you just want to download a Mac app.
