BUG: Toggling the overview (or switching between slides too quickly) destroys the Multiplex feature

I'm absolutely in love with Multiplex. Thank you for this wonderful feature! 🙂

But it seems to have a very annoying bug which is very unfortunate and renders the plugin pretty much unusable for professional use, as it somehow seems to randomly fire socket events (or something like that), leading to unexpected slide changes.

@hakimel, is this plugin still supported? I really hope so. Thank you for investigating this.

My initial guess would be that the secret is not unique and that multiple presentations are using the same socket. Or that the server is overloaded in somewhat and you may need to use your own socket generator?

Good guesses! I will try it with my own socket server then. (The secret ID should be unique, I created it with the token generator.)

I tried to run my own multiplex socket.io server.

I did as told:

$ node node_modules/reveal-multiplex
reveal.js: Multiplex running on port 1948

But when connecting to it, I get this:

(It seems to serve the index.html file.)

Shouldn't I rather get something like this??
