Alice is a Identified Consumers that is subscribed to a Communication Service Providers.

Pre-condition

• User Authentication and Registration #81 User Authentication and Registration by using external Identity  #83 Alice is registered
• H2H Conversation with single CSP #1 H2H inter-domain Manageable Conversation #2 H2H Multiparty Conversations #86 Alice has had several Conversations, some of them were recorded

Description

• Alice is able to browse hyper-linked conversations history
• Conversation hyperlinks can be set manually by Alice or automatically according to different criteria including:
  • Conversation Participant Identity,
  • Conversation Context and Subject
• In case shared resources (e.g. Voice, Video, Chat,..) are available, each Conversation can be re-played,
• A Conversation that is not closed can be resumed;
• A Closed Conversation, can be the starting point to start a new conversation. In this case, the two conversations will be hyper-linked

Where is previous history maintained - the application, the CSP or the
device?
If CSP and apps can vary from one conversation to another, you cannot have
consistent view!

In addition, what about privacy and Data protection laws here?

Conversation Browsing can be a feature provided by the CSP. At the this point it is not relevant where it is stored.

Regarding privacy and data protection, I see 2 aspects to address:

• "copyright" like creative commons of licence used to rule access control on resources shared in the conversation including voice and image. This licence would be agreed among participants per conversation
• it should also be possible to enforce legal policies in these shared resources

Should both participants agree to record the conversation? Should we define a type of "incognito mode" that leaves no traces in the CSP?

Yes, that should be possible according to #98 and taking into account legal laws from regulators
