Setup to Analyze Uploaded files from TeensyBat or other sources of recordings

I would like to setup BattyBirdNET-Pi in a way that I could upload folders of recordings and have it do the analysis. Do you have some pointers on how I might accomplish this? I would like to run this in a container on my ProxMox system. I can take care of setting up the way to upload files into a folder, but I am not sure about how to trigger the software to see that new files have appeared.

Any help would be fantastic - buying commercial software is so expensive!

Hi @mcsarge , you can load the files into the folder in which the system writes the new recordings. That depends on the date, e.g. /birdnet/BirdSongs/February-2026/19-Thursday . This way you would be tricking it into processing as if it had recorded them. Only the current day is being processed and you would have to follow the naming convention in the files for this to work, e.g. 2026-02-19-birdnet-15:09:11.wav . Alternatively, you can use the BattyBirdNEt-Analyer itself to analyze your files independent of the deployment on the PI https://github.com/rdz-oss/BattyBirdNET-Analyzer .
