Change of filename format

Actually the recorded files are named as e.g.: Soprano_pipistrelle-96-2024-07-31-birdnet-04_57_21
If one wants to send the files to BTO acoustic pipeline to get a second opinion, manual editing of the filename is necessary as
https://www.bto.org/our-science/products-and-technologies/bto-acoustic-pipeline/support-hub/technical-requirements tells us:

Users of other recorders must ensure audio files match one of the following formats, where prefixes and suffixes are optional:
YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS-suffixes.wav
prefix_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS-suffixes.wav

Of course renaming is possible but it would be great if the format is compatible without any additional steps.

You might want to look at the script by @Pete-the-Geek who copies the files, renames them and uses that for the BTO pipeline: https://github.com/Pete-the-Geek/BattyBirdNET-Utils/blob/main/scripts/copy_to_remote.sh

Thank you for this hint, i will give it a try. Renaming is also possible with some batch tools, in the end it is not a big thing. In the last weeks i had a closer look on some parts of the software and my impression is that the filename is used in many places. Therefore i would say that the effort and risk of changing the filename format is much higher than the benefit. My proposal is to close this topic.
