IMX219 - inconsistent frame rate

Hi,
I'm working on IM219,

• ran gstreamer pipeline with format = NV12, width = 640, height = 480 and frame rate to 120.
• But getting inconsistent fps. FPS drops from 120 to 90 to sometimes 60 and then 40's and bounce ack to 80's...
• Do any one have any idea, hat might be wrong?

Would you be able to share the exact command line you are using for the gstreamer pipeline please?

Something in the pipeline is unable to keep up and it's dropping frames.

The sensor will always produce frames at 8.33ms intervals, but it'll get discarded if there is no buffer to store it in. To drop down to 40fps would imply a serious backing up as if some very CPU intensive operation is being performed on the frames.
