Description

Document the architecture and design decisions for Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration in an Architecture Decision Record (ADR).

Tasks

• Create adr/2026-06-06-mcp-integration-design.md
• Document shared quarkus-flow-api module rationale
• Document MCP extension architecture (tools, resources, prompts)
• Document dynamic YAML workflow generation approach
• Include namespace/name/version identification pattern
• Document alignment with Runner API patterns (epic: Runner API (Load/Run Workflows at Runtime) #52)
• Include implementation phases
• Add references to MCP spec and quarkus-mcp-server

Context

The ADR should cover:

1. Shared API Module: Why and how we extract common workflow services
2. MCP Integration: Tool/Resource/Prompt design
3. Dynamic Workflows: Enabling AI to generate and execute YAML workflows
4. Consistency: Alignment with existing Runner patterns

Draft Available

A comprehensive draft ADR has been prepared covering all aspects of the design.
