Axes in time series plots

It would be super cool if I could manually set the y-axis (min and max), especially when I am looking at plots where there might be one or two outliers that make the max y-axis orders of magnitude higher than the rest of the values. If I can set the y-axis then this reduces the number of times I have to zoom in to get to what I want to see. (for example, max value is 5,000 but I want to see the rest of the values that are actually under 5).

This is a related request: recently I discovered the magic of having more than on metric preloaded for a widget. When I go to the non-popup-labeled icon to the right of 'toggle key' and to the left of 'widget options' I can select a different metric and click on 'Apply Changes'. Then the new metric shows up on the plot where the old one just was. BUT, the y-axis changes to the max on the new metric and if you aren't paying attention and see that, and comparison between that view and the previous one is moot (specifically, I am looking at time series). Being able to freeze the y-axis would be super cool for this application.
