Marketing Team has discussed the need to better define the benefits of a Plone Foundation membership.
One of the rewards could be “Your member profile on plone.org”. However the current setup does not display much public information.
The unauthenticated view of a member’s profile only shows:
- Name
- Organization
- City
- Country
The limited view was intended to avoid publishing sensitive contact information such as “Street Address” and "Email Address" as referenced in ticket #119.
However, the Contributions (merit) field could be publicly visible to promote the efforts of Foundation Members. Additionally the github, twitter, and linkedin social media fields could be shown.
Subsequently, we could then link to all active profiles from the listing on https://plone.org/foundation/members/current
