It is possible to build in issue templates to the github repo itself, such that when you click "new issue", your are given a choice of what type of issue you want to create. I think it would be awesome in this repo if we added "RC" and "Dev" specific templates directly to the repo.
Benefits of this strategy:
- wouldn't need to copy paste the template from an MD file
- Would automatically assign @ariel-phet
- would automatically add some of the labels specific to the needs of that issue template
