Try map fixed in place and minimizable?

We talked about having the map fixed in the upper portion of the screen while you scroll the list. Is this worth experimenting with? Too tricky?

Here's an idea: when the map is no longer visible (on window scroll, compare its offsetTop to window.scrollY), show a link that hangs off the lower right hand corner of the navbar with a map icon that scrolls it back into view.
