[4chan] Clearing the verification cookie has no effect

Repro:

1. Go to Settings > Sites > 4chan
2. Tap on Verification cookie
3. Tap on the Clear button
4. Tap on Verification cookie again

Attempting to clear the verification cookie has no effect, it will show up as not set but if you open it again you will see the cookie is still there. Additionally, if you close and reopen the app, it will tell you that the cookie is set once again.

I don't know if this is a separate issue or a consequence of the inability to clear the cookie, but I'm getting "Your IP address has changed" every time I'm trying to verify.

Is the value in the verification option the same value as in the cookie manager?

Could you install this version and see if you can clear the cookie?

Also, could be wrong but I don't think that "IP address" thing is related to the app, the verification page is extremely finicky (and annoying to pass). I tried to not modify anything in that page to not trigger errors, keep it as vanilla as possible.

I can confirm this one solves the issue.

Edit: the bad news is clearing the cookie does nothing to stop the "IP address has changed" from showing up. And if I try to use wifi instead of the mobile network I get hit with this. So it seems verification is dead in the water for me.

That message can show up occasionally, try refreshing the page see if it goes away.
Check if your Android Webview Chromium is somewhat up to date.

Fresh Clover v3.4.0, Android WebView 145.0.7632.159, no error.

Also it might be easier doing the email verification process on your desktop, then just opening the verification link within the app.

The error pops up after you click send email. Oh unless you meant the scripts thing.

I didn't try desktop, but I tried a separate browser on my phone, and when I opened the verification link within the app I was met with another error.

Edit: I was eventually able to verify through the app while on wifi, the script error thing stopped showing up.

Stumbled with the same problem, had a saved cookie that no longer worked so I went through the verification process again. However, after completing the 'Enter verification token' step it didn't overwrite the old cookie with the new one generated.
With the version posted here you have to manually clear it first in order to get your cookie saved from the verification.

Makes sense, I should make it expire the 4chan_pass cookie when you enter the verification process.
That's my oversight.
