Any assumptions for vision system? #1

I notice the project by the video from youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JscIleDqNQI. So glad to see RL is used in parking control. I would like to ask that how does the vehicle know which part of the road is drivable, or which part of the road is a possible parking slot, any vision algorithm involved? Thanks
