So I've added a few folks (Dan Doore, Adrian Brown, Stefan Drissen, Simon Owen) as co-owners for the repo.
This is primarily to avoid the "getting run over by a bus" scenario, and making sure we always have more than one owner hanging around to approve things/push buttons.
If anyone strongly wants to be on the owner list, my criteria are:
Primary:
Already is publishing a lot of code for others to use
Strong opinions on doing engineering the right way
Already running some kind of repository-like thing in the SAM community (e.g. WOS).
Secondary:
Strongly active in the community
Can be trusted not to delete things in a fit of pique.
Can be trusted to hash things out in debate rather than by fiat. (I don't think we have any of the regulars in this bucket, but they have been known to exist).
Note: This isn't a prize or a status badge - or at least it shouldn't be. It's scut work. (Necessary, but painful).
Principles: We should be permissive wherever possible. If there's disagreements? We encourage forking/multiple solutions. There's no value to blocking people - just figure it out and allow things to proliferate.
Code of Conduct: Don't be a jerk.
If anyone wants out of the Owners pool that I just added, I'm okay with that - you just seemed like good starter choices.
