You must be logged in to vote

I looked in the WSL2 config and saw that it contains:

[wsl2]
networkingMode=mirrored 

After starting WSL without that line, running {wsl2}$ Rscript parallel-sleep-bug.R with 14 cores works. So I assume that the networking mode messes with the sockets.
