Timeline for Project 4.1

Which timeline should be used for writing proposal the official GSoC timeline suggest the final mentor evaluation due date is 31 August https://developers.google.com/open-source/gsoc/timeline while oppia github doc suggest 14 september is the last date https://github.com/oppia/oppia/wiki/Google-Summer-of-Code-2026#dates-and-deadlines. I think these are for standard projects (175 hour).

Hi @itsadityaaaaa. We require all participants in GSoC for Oppia to have extended timelines, and specifically the timeline that we outline on our wiki page. We do this for a few reasons:

• It provides more structured time for reviews and addressing feedback, even though the core coding period is slightly shorter.
• It provides an actual break between milestones M1 and M2 rather than having them be immediately consecutive.

We've found that this approach increases the chance of success of GSoC projects by reducing uncertainty and ensuring adequate feedback can be collected and shared.
