Determine a global namespace

Goal: establish solid, sensible code guidelines for the Open UI design system patterns. (working draft here). Cast your vote and join the discussion. Goal: Establish a consistent prefix for all OUI CSS classes/objects (e.g. oui-alert)

Considerations:

• Must be short enough to not bloat class names
• Should be memorable and meaningful
• Needs to avoid conflicts with existing libraries
• Should reflect the global nature of the initiative
• Must be acceptable to the broader web community

We already kind of agreed to this in a past issue somewhere for open-ui itself, so I'd rather just use it

I could only find openui/open-ui#184 (comment) with the resolution of openui. Is that what you had in mind?

Found the reference, it's in an open PR from @jamesnw: #21. The resolution there is oui.

Whatever ends up being used, there is always a potential for collision. Should the namespace be a setting people can change if needed (I know of at least one library at my company that is namespaced oui and called open ui but has no relation to the Open UI community group).

One more option could be gds- short for Global Design System because that is already used in presentations from @bradfrost and possibly others. That might be the most intuitive project name to use in conversations. I feel like it's very easy to infer the scope and vision from this name when talking to people that know what a Design System is.
