I am logging in to my Overleaf account with Google. Logging in this way will not work in the desktop version as Google does not regard the browser to be secure enough (I do not know why).
I have, however, found I way to bypass this issue by logging in to Overleaf from another browser and copying the value of the overleaf_session2 cookie to the desktop version. After refreshing the page you will be logged in.
I think it would be nice to mention this trick in the README as many other users might face the similar issue.
