Webinterface for displaying data (and settings?)

I read this is a planned feature. Has there been any planning or work on this yet?

I’d be interested in maybe working on this.
Would the idea be to mostly display/reflect the data that is also shown on the display?

In the release notes it is mentioned that it is not planned to implement the UI rotation feature due to complexity. Is this related to complexity of the UI code itself or the complexity of navigating the UI with limited inputs?
With a web UI, some settings for p.e. Display rotation could also easily be exposed without running into issues with UX

Thank you so much for reaching out about the planned feature! You’re spot-on that a web UI showing detailed, long-range data (in minutes or hours) would be super valuable, especially since the XPM’s small LCD can only display so much.

The complexity I mentioned in the release notes mostly comes from navigating the UI with just three buttons, which makes things like UI rotation and display mode switching a bit tricky for users on the device itself. Your idea to bring settings to a web UI is brilliant—it would make the user experience so much smoother and work around those limitations beautifully.

I’m thinking we could support web-serial (universal) and WebSocket (ESP32 series) for the web UI, with the XIAO board sending data in JSON format, something like {"cS":[{"ch":0,"v_mV":1234,"c_mA":123,"p_mW":12345,"ts":1234567890}, ...]}.

Right now, I’m focused on another branch (XPM) to enhance RTOS task stability and refactor the code to support new current sensors and LCDs down the road. I’d love to explore adding the web UI feature with you, it sounds like such a great addition!
