I think for problem solving, debugging, side quests, etc., it might be nice if there was a persp-push/pop. It would duplicate the current perspective including all the current buffers, probably run the hooks(¿or maybe a new push/pop hook?), and increment a number on the perspective name (eg P to P-2, or P-2 to P-3).
This would allow you to keep all your current context, push to duplicate it, go solve a debugging issue, pop back, and continue on the previous perspective.
