- - Innovate for a cause was organised by the Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship( CIE ) on 17th march 2016. Out of the 27 entries , 13 teams were shortlisted for the second round after which 6 teams were selected for the final round. After each presentation followed a question and answer round. Team Enactus presented their innovation - PROJECT VASUDHA and came through with flying colors and stood 1st in this years' competition. - -Our honourable Vice Chancellor Professor Talat Ahmad congratulated all the teams for their diligent efforts and finally presented team enactus the winning sum of Rs 12000 . - -It was a great competition which not only gave the students of jamia a great platform to present their ideas but also gave the students an amazing opportunity to learn. -

+ About Enactus
+
- Enactus Nationals competition is a annual showcase of how students from all over India are transforming lives and enabling progress through entrepreneurial action.
-This year it was organized at Hotel Taj Lands End, Mumbai on 21st & 22nd July. Students from almost 100 colleges participated in the event out of which nearly 20 college teams competed in the Rookie League which included some of the prestigious institutions such as IIT Bombay, N. M. College of Commerce & Economics, NITIE, Kamla Nehru College, Kirorimal College and several other colleges of the Delhi University.

-Jamia Millia Islamia participated for the first time this year since its inception in October 2015 and beating all the odds were declared as the winners in the Enactus Nationals Competition - Rookie League [2016].The Enactus JMI team comprises of 35 members from different disciplines like Engineering, Commerce & Business Studies, Social Work, Law, Architecture etc. out of which 18 represented the institution at the competition held in Mumbai.

Enactus is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring students to improve the world through entrepreneurial action. We provide a platform for teams of outstanding university students to create community development projects that put people own ingenuity and talents at the center of improving their livelihoods. Guided by educators and supported by business leaders, our students take the kind of entrepreneurial approach that empowers people to be a part of their own success. Our work transforms both the lives of the people we serve, and in turn, the lives of our students as they develop into more effective, values-driven leaders.

++ 1.Enactus, Jamia Millia Islamia got selected in Top 24 Enactus Nationals, Mumbai for 2 consecutive years. The group is touching heights and creating milestones with its "dedicated to win" approach. +
++ 2.The team badged the first position in INNOVATE FOR A CAUSE competition organised by Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. +
++ 3.The team of Enactus JMI is one of the Top 3000 startups in Smart 50. +
++ 4.The aspiring and enthusiast team of students of Enactus JMI won the Rural Carte competition organised by the Bussiness Cell in University. + (Including those that are already mentioned in brochure). + +

+ 5.After a huge victory in "INNOVATION FOR A CAUSE" competetion in 2015,we received a grant of
+ Rs.12,000 as the cash prize for our win.
+ Again held in 2017,we were the champion team this time as well.

+ 6. The team went on to establish victory again at the + 'ENACTUS ROOKIE + LEAGUE NATIONAL COMPETITION' in which there were teams from across the whole country. +
++ 7.Again in 2017,we won the 'BLUEDART COMPETITION ' and grabbed a huge sum of Rs.40,000 as + cash prize for the win. +
++ 8.Soon after,we were named one amongst the top 23 teams that had been selected to compete in + the 2017 NATIONAL COMPETETION which added another golden feather to the hat. +
++ Starting with just around 20 members initially,we are now a strong family of more than 100 + members from across the entire University,working hard every single day making EnactusJMI worth + it.
