Some JS assets are causing slow page loads

I noticed when reading this blog post that the page was sometimes loading extremely slowly,

I checked this with and without ad blocker enabled, just in case.

It seems to be coming from this line:

I doubt that these polyfills are necessary with any relatively modern browser.

This other asset appears to also fail to load, or load very slowly. Not sure what it's used for or if it's important.
