Title: Name and role are not defined for the 'Play', 'Pause', 'Stop', 'Backward' and 'Forward' controls in Power BI application in Windows.
Test Environment:
OS: Windows 11 Version 24H2(OS Build 26120.2415)
Browser: Edge Browser 132.0.2957.26
Chrome version:131.0.6778.140(Official Build) (64-bit)
Observation:
This issue is observed in latest chrome browser also.
User Impact:
Screen reader users will get impact as they will not get the information about the controls if name and role are not defined for them.
Repro steps:
Open the Power BI application in the latest edge browser and login with valid credentials.
Use 'tab' key to reach 'create' tab present in left side pane and activate it using 'enter' key.
'Add data to start building a report' page will appear on screen.
Press tab key to move on 'Pick a published semantic model' control and activate it using enter key.
Press 'tab' key to reach on any one already created semantic model and press 'enter' to select it.
Focus will now move to 'Auto create report' control now press 'enter' to activate it.
The sample model report gets displayed on screen.
Press tab key to move to the edit control and activate it.
'Switch to edit mode' dialog will appear on screen with focus on 'continue' button, use enter key to select it.
Report will now be displayed in edit mode on page.
Press 'tab' to reach 'Get more visual' present in visualizations pane and activate it using 'enter' key.
Menu pop-up with additional options will appear on screen with focus on 'Get more visuals' control, press 'enter' to select it.
Power BI visuals dialog will appear on screen.
Press tab key to reach on 'search edit field' and provide input as 'Play axis'.
Press tab key to reach on 'Play axis' card appearing in the suggestions and select it using 'enter' key.
'Play Axis' application dialog will appear on screen.
Press 'tab' key to reach on 'Add' control and activate it with 'enter' key.
Play axis control gets added to the 'visualizations' pane.
Press 'tab' key to reach the recently added 'Play Axis; option and select it with 'enter' key.
'Play axis' control panel will appear on screen with "Play", "Pause", "Stop", "backward" and "Forward" controls.
Use F12 to open the developer tool and use mouse and move to "Play", "Pause", "Stop", "backward" and "Forward" controls.
Verify whether Name and role are defined for the 'Play', 'Pause', 'Stop', 'Backward' and 'Forward' controls in Power BI application or not.
