FR: Shortcut key names are very windows centric

Description

Shortcut hints like Alt+S are very windows centric, would like an OS detection for people using MacOS to use Cmd, Control, Option or Linux users seeing Meta

Is your feature request related to a problem?

This is an issue when I try Ctrl with MacOS Control which do different things.

What solution would you like?

OS detection which shows the right Shortcut name for shortcuts.

We can do only semi-reliable terminal product detection but not OS detection. We would have to ask users their preferred OS, and customize keyboard terminology based on that -- kind of awkward. I guess late-cli could do it, but that leaves behind vanilla-ssh.

Windows and Linux do not generally have a cmd key modifier that overlaps cleanly with macOS. Even if that weren't the case, terminal programs often don't support the key as a modifier. So we tend to use modality (for just plain letter-commands) or ctrl+letter, as these have the widest support cross platform. Alt+keys support is spotty in terminal programs so we avoid alt usually. Alt, Meta, and Option are all different names for the same key. The name that gets printed on the keyboard or in the documentation can vary by OS though.

I just realized that this is done through ssh and not via a local CLI, this could be done in late CLI. But you're right, setting the users preferred OS is the best way to implement this than OS detection.

For the command key modifier, I believe just having a look up mapping than changing the visual text for the keys can be done, haven't gone through the codebase yet.
