Candidates same length as prompt not selected

Is this desired or bug? or maybe there is settings for that.

I have in dabbrev words:

Completion stars from 3 letters, so I type too:

Notice that too is not in list.

When typing a sentence and hit enter, instead of known word almost always another word inserted.
Another example: type for and hit RET after completion popup. In my case fork is inserted, however for is also candidate.

I had to (setopt corfu-preselect 'prompt) as an workaround.

As I understand this is a problem of cape-dabbrev or dabbrev-capf. Dabbrev does not return the word itself, only longer expansions of the initial prefix ("tool" is an expansion of "too", but "too" is not). However I do not understand why RET inserts the first candidate if the candidate is not selected (related settings corfu-preselect and corfu-preview-current).

ah, seconds screenshot was after I set to preselect prompt (as workaround). I'll dig into cape-dabbrev then. Thanks

I figured out that this is behavior of dabbrev. it intentionally expands to the latest word with the same prefix. While, too is in dict, tool appears earlier. the only I can do with this is to remove dabbrev-capf.
