Environment Details:

Application Name: Aspire Dashboard
Edition Windows 11 Enterprise
Version 24H2
OS build 26100.4351

Repro Steps:

  1. Open Visual studio.
  2. Open a aspire project and run it.
  3. A new window will open in the chromium edge, TAB to "Resources" tab item and hit ENTER key.
  4. Verify that Keyboard focus does not return to the parent control after closing the Help, Github copilot and settings dialog.

Actual Result:

Keyboard focus does not return to the parent control after closing the Help, Github copilot and settings dialog.

Expected Result:

After closing the Help, Github copilot and settings dialog, the keyboard focus should return to the parent control that had focus before the dialog was opened.

User Impact:

The keyboard focus does not return to the parent control after closing the dialog, making it difficult for keyboard users to continue navigating the application and this issue causes confusion as the screen reader leaving users uncertain about their current position within the application. As a result, users may need to spend additional time and effort to manually navigate back to the desired control, which can be particularly challenging for those relying solely on auditory feedback.
