What is the unit of measurement in the "peptide_activity" column of the database?
Is it assay-specific? A readme would be very useful. thank you!

The units do depend on the datasets/assays used, they are also often normalized to the index peptide activity in the source literature. I uploaded a file at https://github.com/meyer-lab-cshl/BATMAN-paper/blob/main/results_batman/batman_supplement.pdf containing the assay information and normalization (if any) for all the TCRs in BATCAVE. For further information, consulting source publications would be the best.

if you are interested in getting activity values like used in fig 1c)
in the end this boils down to
table['norm_peptide_activity'] = table.groupby('tcr')['peptide_activity'].transform(lambda x: x / x.max())
to obtain the normalized activities and then threshold by 0.1 (as mentioned in the supplementary material)
table = table[table["norm_peptide_activity"] > 0.1]
to obtain binding / non binding data.
