Installation Failed. The extension encountered and error when starting up

Trying extension with Brackets 1.2 build 1.2.0-15697 and encounter problems during installation. Based on console errors the issue seems to be related to 'beautify' module. Does it somehow relate to this issue? brackets-beautify/brackets-beautify#93. During Brackets reload an additional error comes up: "Error: Preference jshint.scanProjectOnly was redefined"

Update: Installation succeeds after removing JSHint extension. Is it possible to have both extensions live together side by side?

Hi Denis, the plugin preinstalls certain versions of other brackets extensions like JSHint to be sure it is installed in brackets. We advise people to always use a brackets version without any other extra plugins installed. But you have a good point that we will add to the official roadmap! We will make using the extra plugins configurable for endusers.
