I remember you encountered some issues when looking into this, and we ended up deciding as a team not to move forward. In general, it seems like moving the install source containing all products to various runners might not be a well motivated workflow, but an alternative approach would be to allow specifying --repo-config, which is a newer mpm option that enables installing from Artifactory. We might want to update this issue to consider that approach instead.
