Feature Request: Improve Chrome Extension Behavior — Minimal Notepad Instead of Full-Tab Page #4

Description

Description
Currently, when installing the Intent Chrome extension from the Web Store, opening a new tab automatically loads the Intent interface, similar to how Daily.dev works. While this approach is good for visibility, it can feel intrusive for users who just want to take quick notes while browsing.

Proposed Improvement
Instead of replacing the new tab, it would be better if Intent acted like a minimal notepad pinned to the top side of any page (like a floating widget).
This aligns better with Intent’s core idea as a note-taking app, allowing users to take quick notes without leaving their current tab or workflow.

Benefits:

  1. Non-intrusive experience
  2. Quick access to notes without breaking browsing flow
  3. Feels lightweight and minimal
  4. Encourages continuous usage while multitasking

Possible UI Idea
A small, toggleable notepad that stays docked at the top (or corner) of the page, collapsible when not in use.
