App icons

Had a little spare time while waiting for dinner so made this icon.

Just thought I'd post it here rather than have them lost to time on my hard drive.

Maybe that is the good idea to include them to the application so users could choose the icon they like more.

Well, we changed main app icon just a few releases back. I do not plan having multiple icons deployed with the app.

But I agree that these look quite good.

Looks interesting, but the current icon doesn't have rounded corners so much and it looks more pleasing to eyes.

The current icon looks very dated to me, like it was designed 15 years ago and hasn't been updated. This is partly due to the corners being only slightly rounded and the thin grey outlines used, I think there's not enough breathing room around the shield and it also doesn't read very well at small sizes.

In a way I prefer the previous icon, but that has its own issues with the inversion in the centre being so jarring. It did read better at smaller sizes though and looks modern.

In version 4, the icon is not very pretty, but in version 5 it is normal, because it is a recognizable RSS icon with some addition. IMHO :)

@martinrotter, which file is used as the tray icon? From /usr/share/icons/hicolor?
It looks smaller than the others, and this usually happens when it was resized from a larger size.

The icon has spacing around it in the png, rather than being the full size, that could be why.
