Does this app even create backup files?
If so, where can I find them?

You can export/import all your shaders in the settings screen at the bottom:

So basically there's no backups at all, just an optional export of all shaders. Gotcha.

Thanks for clarifying. The app currently only supports manual import/export, not automatic backups. What kind of backup behavior would you like to see added?
