Assistant message was temporarily truncated until I sent my next reply

I ran into a rendering bug in the TUI that I have not been able to reproduce reliably.

In one case, an assistant message appeared truncated, and the missing part only showed up after I sent my next reply.

This means I responded before I could actually see the full message.

Expected behavior:

• Assistant messages should render fully when they arrive
• Sending another reply should not be required for the rest of the previous message to appear

Actual behavior:

• One assistant message was temporarily truncated
• The rest of it only appeared after my next reply

Notes:

• I have only seen this once so far
• I do not currently have reliable reproduction steps

Environment:

• macOS 15.6.1

• Apple Silicon

• terminals tested:

  • Alacritty
  • Ghostty

• kit installed with:

  go install github.com/mark3labs/kit/cmd/kit@latest
