So I've looked into scaffdog for a different project and it seems like a good idea on the surface but overall it's not very functional for the types of things we want to achieve with ember blueprints. Our system (while feeling a tiny bit old at the moment) is actually quite sophisticated!

I haven't looked into gember much either but ultimately what I'm trying to achieve with layer-gen is a compatible format that works with existing blueprints from ember-cli. And with the progression of ember-cli/ember-cli#10672 layer-gen is looking like less of a fork of ember-cli and more of a consumption of the core parts 👍
