Behavior after standby

Minor quality of life:

I set the application to close after 2 hours, and went to sleep.
In the morning, I saw it was in standby, turned it on, and it shut down. I had to start it again.

I think it's desirable if it went to standby, when I turn it back on, it should stay on?

Actually it got prevent system to go to sleep. That seems to have failed.

It's a double bug, it did not prevent the sleep, and when it resumed, it shut down.

Are you interested in investigating this? Is there a way I could collect the logs?

While not desireable, the behaviour after standby is more or less intended.

When the system woke back up, the application recalculated the remaining time, noticed that it was past the target time and executed the shutdown.

The only real bug is that your system went to sleep. Can you tell me a bit more about your system, like what Windows version you are running and if you have made any modifications or installed tools that affect things like sleep behaviour?

Logs probably won't help here, and they are not stored unless something crashed or you opted to save them.

I'll look into the sleep issue and also see, if I can maybe add in a prompt, which temporarily holds the timer when a timeskip was detected.

Windows 11, no modding, nothing dirty, up to date.

I tried to reproduce the issue, set standby to 1 minute, the app prevented it, only turned off the monitor. Must have been a fluke?

The particular thing for yesterday's run is that instead of watching TV (browser) which runs non stop, I watched a twitch (browser) stream which must have ended before the timer ran out and it went to standby.

Probably, either it's just Windows being Windows, or I am missing something from my side.

To be honest, I haven't done a lot of research on this topic. The implementation as it currently stands was (iirc) just the way I found it documented in Microsoft's docs, and it ended up working great in my testing, but there may be more to the matter that is not covered by my implementation. I have received a few limited reports of people having issues, but it never seemed to affect many people.
