Hello All. I am using idevicepair and ifuse to connect my Ubuntu 24.04 desktop to iPad 10th Gen ios26.3.1(a).
Ubuntu also has a native access to iPad using the gui file manger.
I prefer the CLI and everything seems to work except one really strange issue.
When I connect to the iPad using ifuse < mount point> I get a list of folders. The Downloads folder looks normal and I can copy files into it from the Ubuntu and there are 3 files in there from a previous life I.e. some SQLite downloads. However in the actual IPad Files app neither of the Downloads folders (iCloud or On my iPad ) reflect what the ifuse cli Download folder has in it. I can’t find the files in the ifuse Downloads folder using search in the Files app. They are on the disk somewhere as I added a test.txt file to the ifuse Downloads folder and it persisted across reboots.
Has anyone encountered this before? I did re-install the Files app on iPad, I have also managed to connect to some of the app folders like Chrome and numbers directly using the -documents switch in ifuse and all works as expected.
