Should we stop coding as if another implementation of OSDI might come along? We could drop RemoteSystemInterface and make the namespacing more concise across much of the codebase.

I don't have a strong opinion here, mainly because I don't know so much about the OSDI project, though I'm grateful for the explanation you gave me earlier. Certainly it was a grandiose project and good on Action Network for going for it, but I can't say whether it's likely. I suppose from my own perspective, the metaphors don't directly correlate with Civi (nor do they directly correlate with other marketing based tools I've used), and they also seem quite opinionated, so it seems to my perhaps naïve eyes that OSDI is quite a heavy demand that other projects are unlikely to be able to meet without substantial motivation.

But, if you're going to do a mammouth rename/restructure with one of your high falutin’ magic code refactoring tools then pls merge #9 before, and I'll start another branch from there, as a rebase might be a nightmare after a big rearrange :-)
