[ente-photos chart] Public album sharing not working.

I have set the
web.photos.config.albumsEndpoint to https://album.my-domain.tld
and
museum.config.apps.publicAlbums to https://album.my-domain.tld .

When I generate the public link of an album from the web UI I get the link in the format https://album.my-domain.tld/?t=******* which is correct but when I open that link it gives me the login page .

If you could make the public album sharing work , please guide.

Hi @dattadebrup, thanks for the report — root cause turned out to be bigger than the symptom.

What was happening: ghcr.io/ente-io/web is a single nginx image that serves each Ente frontend on a different internal port:

3000	photos
3001	accounts
3002	albums ← this is what renders public ?t=TOKEN links
3003	auth
3004	cast
3005	share (file/locker sharing, not albums)

The chart hard-coded containerPort: 3000 for every web.* block, so the web.share deployment was silently running the photos app, and there was no web.albums component at all. That is why https://album.my-domain.tld/?t=... always landed on a login screen — it was hitting the photos app, not the albums app — regardless of what you set publicAlbums / albumsEndpoint to.

Fix in v0.2.0 (PR #4):

1. New web.albums component (port 3002) — this is the deployment that has to back the public-link domain
2. Default ports fixed for accounts/auth/cast/share
3. museum.config.apps.publicAlbums now auto-derives from web.albums.ingress.hosts[0].host, so you no longer have to keep three places in sync by hand

Minimum config that makes public album sharing work:

No need to set museum.config.apps.publicAlbums or web.photos.config.albumsEndpoint — the chart derives them from the web.albums ingress. Will close this issue once PR #4 merges.
