CPU usage Element 1.0 vs current GIT and multicore

Here are some CPU "benchmarks" that show much higher CPU usage on current git versions of Element vs. Version 1.0.0

A fairly complex patch I have idles at about

1. 31-33% CPU on my Macbook Air M4 and gets to about 50% when synths are played under Element 1.0.0
2. 46-49% CPU idle and 70 to 75% on the same system with the current git version and multicore support off.
3. at 20% with multicore support on, only tested idle.

additionally loading of the patch takes about 8 seconds on current git where it takes only 2 seconds on element 1.0.0.

these numbers come from the element CPU display, so i don't know if the meter has changed, the CPU load has really increased and wheter it works with the new multicore addition (or simply displays one core).

Thanks for checking this, good information. The CPU usage in the GUI comes directly from juce audio devices and it does its maths down at the audio device callback level (before anything in element). We might need to custom brew some CPU monitoring that taps from somewhere else.

I'm working on a slight refactor of all of this anyway.
