New icon vs. current icon

While polling the latest commits, I've seen this:

Is there a reason for this rebrand? The new icon is everything, but not...fluffy... and misses its typical character. 🥺

We love the current icon. Really, it's so great! Please, keep it as an alternative option in the app settings, if applicable. 🥺🙏
(At least other apps are able to do that, but I don't know how tricky this is.)
