Hello,
I am a PhD student and I am interested in using OpenMATB in my doctoral research project with Italian-speaking participants. OpenMATB would be a very suitable task for my study, and I am currently trying to understand whether it could be translated and adapted into Italian while preserving the structure of the original task.
From the documentation, I understand that the visual interface can be translated by creating a new translation file in the Translations folder and setting the corresponding language variable in the configuration file. Could you please confirm whether this is still the correct procedure?
Regarding the communication-task audio files, I saw that users can either adapt the provided Python script for automatic splitting, if they have sufficient Python skills, or alternatively send you the full audio recording so that you can split it into the required elementary audio files.
I would like to ask whether this possibility is still available. If so, would it be possible for me to record the full Italian sequence following the recommended order and send it to you, so that you could split it into the required audio components?
This would be extremely helpful for my PhD project, as it would allow me to use OpenMATB with Italian-speaking participants while maintaining the original structure and rationale of the task.
Thank you very much!
