Feature: Consider using .gitattributes file to build smaller dist file

For the update command, may be able to use .gitattributes file to generate a smaller archive file to make the updates go faster and in general have a smaller load. There is no need to pack the test and documentation files for the binary update.

Only the script and completion scripts are really needed.
