Saving view settings for a csv file

Is it possible to persist the view settings of a csv file in .vscode/settings.json?

Let's say my repo has a data.csv file, and I'd like anyone in my team opening the file using this this extension have some settings pre-configured, such as:

• the width of specific columns
• horizontal text alignment for specific columns set to center
• vertical text alignment for the entire data.csv file set to center

I think that's possible (but I still need to check whether handsontable provides this feature).
The bigger question would be when to save the view.

– Every time the width changes or via a button?
– Only if a .vscode directory exists?
– What about unsaved files?
– What happens if the CSV file is changed and we have fewer or more columns than in the .vscode/settings.json file?

Please note that I don't currently have time to work on this project...
