missing coverage

Spatial, spectral, and temporal coverages are very useful to constrain the number of services that need to be queried.

For some resources, a patch can be specified with a MOC in the stc_spatial/coverage. But many provide none and/or are set to full sky ("0/0-11"). Some legitimately are full sky but many can be improved.

Can we identify who really needs to work on this? I know that HEASARC does.

Well -- almost everyone. You can of course just look which authorities have the most resources without any sort of coverage: select auth, count(*) as ct from ( select gavo_getauthority(ivoid) as auth from rr.resource left outer join rr.stc_spatial using (ivoid) where coverage is null) as q group by auth

-- but then at least some of these resources will have no spatial information and hence legitimately no coverage info. What might help: A short Note (or a comment here?) that tells providers how to quickly figure out their resources' coverages; for the MOCs, that's fairly easy using either Aladin or a fairly recent pgsphere...
