Back button on drawer hides automatically

Describe the bug

I am trying the demo app in Ignite version 10.1.6, and when I click the hamburger button, the drawer opens with the back button that disappears after the animation ends. This happened only on the simulator (iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS 17.4), not on the web app.

anyone have a fix for this? I messed with a few things w/ DrawerIconButton and notice that the button goes "behind" the drawer at full open.

you can change it to something like this, and you can see the button always.... just not where we want it

I messed with this as well. I think what happening is the drawer has a layer that is pulled forward after the open animation completes, hiding anything at a lower layer. I tried messing with the zIndex of the drawer and button but that didn't work. Might just be how the drawer renders. Workaround would be to show a different button in the drawer content in the same position on open and hide the other button completely.
