Can't get it working, could you help?

I have downloaded the project and as instructed, I installed the gem funit but there is no configure file in the project so that I can ./configure & make & make install. How do I install it?

Hey there, sorry for taking a while to get back to you. I'm afraid that it's been ages since I worked on this, and I left it incomplete and the documentation terribly incorrect. I have updated a couple things so you can (barely) get it working.

It turns out that documentation was from an earlier Ruby implementation. I switched to C to remove the dependency on Ruby. You now have to edit the Makefile, then make to compile the 'funit' program. You then run the funit command on a +something.fun+ file to generate a +something.F90+ file. You can then compile +something.F90+ yourself with your Fortran compiler and run the existing program.

There is a lot of work that could be done, but as I explain in the updated README, I lost interest when no one at work was interested. My motivation could be reinvigorated with external interest.

Hey dude!

It is really a pity that no one had interest in this work. I've been looking all around and you work was the most promising I could find. We have a small team here working with Fortran and we are using funit from NASA to implement our tests. However, it requires that the tests are in the same folder as the Fortran classes, it cannot run all tests at once, and I couldn't find a way to import modules from my tests.

If we could get you project running it would be really nice for us! Also, if it is not much to ask, please give this project some thought knowing that this you help us a lot and certainly other groups too!

It was disappointing, not getting interest here. I recall looking at
existing Fortran testing options and not much liking them, hence this
project. I will definitely consider working on it again, and hopefully
collaborating with your group.
