Filename Question

Hello! Thank you for making this available and it works well!

I just need help controlling the filenames when they are downloaded. Instead of getting the usual filename, flickr (for example) gives "flickr_xxxxxxxxxxx". I usually prefer to keep the files intact with original filename and whatever metadata it would have as if I saved it manually. I cannot find an easy way to globally prefer the original filename even when tinkering with the Gallery-DL config file.

Can you please add on option in the program to prefer original filename? The config file is way too confusing for me and I cannot tell if I added any of the entries properly.

BTW, I'm using gdownloader-1.5.8-windows_portable_x64.

Hi, glad to hear it's working well!

In v1.5.9, I've implemented a setting to control original filenames under Download Settings > Gallery-Dl Settings > Use Original Filenames.
I've tested it with Reddit, and it seems to have achieved your original goal.
